Matthew Wiebe

Matthew Wiebe has a diverse work experience in software engineering and user experience design. Their most recent position was as a Senior Software Engineer at Index Exchange, where they are currently employed. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Web Developer at Avidbots Corp., where they managed the UI backlog, provided UX support, and developed and maintained the Command Centre web UI. Matthew also assumed Scrum Master and QA duties. Before that, they worked as a Product Developer at Christie Digital Systems, where they developed user-facing web software tools and facilitated Agile processes. Matthew also worked as a GUI Developer at Maplesoft, where they maintained and developed features for software applications and provided web development expertise. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Consultant and User Experience Designer at PeaceWorks Technology Solutions, where they developed the User Experience Design process and managed projects. Additionally, they worked as a part-time Teacher at Rockway Mennonite Collegiate and as "The Computer Guy" at Peace Way Foundation (Burma Issues).

Matthew Wiebe attended the University of Waterloo from 1996 to 2002 where they received a Bachelor of Mathematics degree. Their primary field of study was Computer Science, with a minor in Pure Math. In February 2018, they obtained the certification of a Certified ScrumMaster professional from the Scrum Alliance.
