Ananth Govind Rajan is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) since August 2020. Prior to this role, Ananth served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University from March 2019 to August 2020, conducting computational research on sustainable hydrogen production through electrochemical water splitting. Ananth gained practical experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing as a Technical Consultant at Merck Sharp & Dohme and in materials science at Cabot Corporation, both during the Master of Science in Chemical Engineering Practice (MSCEP) program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Earlier internships include work at Haldor Topsøe, where Ananth developed a dynamic simulation model for hydrotreating plants, and a fellowship at the Institute Of Chemical Technology focused on nanoparticle synthesis. Ananth holds a PhD and an MSCEP from MIT, along with a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
