Hem Chandra Jha

Hem Chandra Jha is an accomplished academic currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore since August 2016, where a lab focused on innovative biological research has been established. Previously, Hem Chandra Jha held positions as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering and as a Ramanujan Fellow, specializing in host-pathogen interactions, epigenetic regulation, and drug discovery. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Associate and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, where research concentrated on viral oncology, and as a Senior Research Fellow at the National Institute of Pathology in India, focusing on Chlamydia pneumoniae in coronary artery disease. Hem Chandra Jha earned a PhD in Biological Sciences from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and an MSc in Biochemistry from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.
