Dr. Harshita Umesh

Dr. Harshita Umesh is a prominent figure in youth advocacy and humanitarian efforts, currently serving as a member of the Asia-Pacific Team of the GLOBAL YOUTH HUMANITARIAN PLATFORM with the Major Group for Children and Youth since July 2024. Additionally, Dr. Umesh holds the position of Youth Advisor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and serves various roles within YOUNGO, including Contact Point and Internal Lead in the Health Working Group. As a Board Advisor for the Oath for Sustainability Network, Dr. Umesh contributes to the Climate Health and Research Lab. Previously, Dr. Umesh was recognized as a Youth Policy Champion by UNICEF and has held leadership roles in the Indian Medical Association and the Asian Medical Students' Association. Dr. Umesh's educational background includes multiple degrees in French Language and Literature from Bangalore Central University and training from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute.
