Katie Whitley

Katie Whitley is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as a Staff Attorney-Skadden Fellow at Indiana Legal Services, Inc. since November 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Certified Legal Intern at the IU McKinney Health and Human Rights Clinic, a Legal Intern at The Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, and a Part-time Law Clerk at the Homeless Persons Representation Project Inc. Katie has extensive experience in providing legal services and advocacy for low-income and homeless populations. In addition to legal work, Katie has a background in education, having served as a 8th Grade Team Lead and Science Teacher at KIPP Indy Public Schools, and developed policy advocacy skills as a Teach Plus Policy Fellow. Katie's educational achievements include a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, a Master's in Secondary Education from Marian University Indianapolis, and a Bachelor's in Kinesiology from Indiana University Bloomington.
