Travis Jerde

Director Of Graduate Studies In Pharmacology at Indiana University

Travis Jerde is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Indiana University School of Medicine, where Travis has served since October 2010, also holding the role of Director of Graduate Studies in Pharmacology. Jerde's research focuses on cell-to-cell communication pathways in inflamed microenvironments impacting epithelial progenitor cell and cancer cell survival and proliferation. Additionally, Jerde teaches Medical Pharmacology to IUSM medical students and directs the course on Advanced Concepts in Nuclear and Cytosolic Signaling. Prior to this, Jerde was a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from September 2005 to July 2010, conducting cellular signal transduction research under Professor Wade Bushman. Jerde earned a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2000 to 2005.
