Hiroyuki Iwama

Hiroyuki Iwama has worked in the IT field for over 20 years. In 1998, they began their career as a System Engineer for (Corporation) Nippon System Web Technologies. In 2001, they moved to GE Healthcare Biosciences as a Technical Consultant for Bioinformatics Products. In 2007, they joined Affymetrix Japan K.K. as a Software Support Engineer. From 2009 to 2014, they were a Digital Pathology Consultant and Sales Technical Specialist for Aperio. In 2014, they became a Chief Specialist Pathology and Imaging at Leica Biosystems division. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Leader of the Workflow IT and National Account Team and a Senior Specialist at Roche. In 2021, they became a Sr. Field Application Specialist at QIAGEN and in 2022 they began working as a Field Application Scientist at Indica Labs.

Hiroyuki Iwama holds a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Shinshu University, which they obtained between 1996 and 1998. Hiroyuki also holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Industry from Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University, which they obtained between 1991 and 1995. Additionally, they hold a Registered Information Security Specialist certification from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, which they obtained in October 2019.
