Chris John L.

Chris John L. has accumulated over two decades of experience in the mining industry. Chris John began their career in 1987 at Impala Platinum as a Manager in Finance, where they were responsible for financial budgets and statements for local and foreign subsidiaries. In 1997, they moved to Avgold Ltd as Manager of Corporate Finance where they were responsible for raising groundbreaking financing through an international syndicated project finance facility. In 1999, they became Financial Director at Western Areas Ltd, managing financial practices and controls for a gold mining company. In 2006, they became an Independent Business Consultant, consulting in the mining industry on mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence and project evaluations and financing. Finally, in 2009, they became an Independent Consultant, consulting in the natural resource sector on business analysis, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, project evaluations, financing and business restructuring.

Chris John L. has a comprehensive education history. Chris John began their studies in 1981 at the University of the Witwatersrand, where they earned a B. Comm in Accountancy & Economics in 1984. Chris John then continued their studies at the same university, earning a B. Comm. (Honours) in Finance in 1989. In 1993, they returned to the University of the Witwatersrand to pursue an MBA in Valuation of Platinum Mining Shares, which they completed in 1996. Most recently, they have been studying at the University of Liverpool, where they are currently completing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Business Administration and Management, General.
