Joseph Ervin

Joseph Ervin has worked in the industry since 2005. Joseph began their career as an Analytical Chemist at AIT Laboratories, where they performed batching, aliquotting, and extractions for blood confirmations testing in a toxicology lab. Joseph operated and analyzed/certified data from HPLC-UV, LCMS, GCMS, LC-ToF-MS and LCMS/MS, as well as troubleshooting and repair on instrumentation. In 2007, they were promoted to Manager, Technical Services Department, where they were responsible for maximizing the profitability of analytical instrumentation at AIT Laboratories. Joseph then became Assistant Technical Director, Technical Services, where they developed GCMS, HPLC and LCMS/MS assays, assisted with evaluating new technologies and techniques for the lab, and was a primary troubleshooter for lab assay issues. In the same year, they were promoted to Manager, Forensic Confirmations and Certification, where they managed a group responsible for confirming non-urine samples for presence of screened drugs using HPLC, GCMS, LCMS, UPLC-MS/MS instrumentation. In 2012, they joined Indigo BioAutomation (formerly Indigo Biosystems) as a Product Specialist and Associate Scientist.

Joseph Ervin attended the University of Florida from 2009-2009, where they obtained a DNG in Forensic Drug Chemistry. From 2002-2005, they attended Indiana State University and earned a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry (Biochemistry Emphasis with Research).
