Ashok Sorout

Ashok Sorout has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Ashok started their career at Hartron Communications in 1991 as a Quality Engineer, where they were responsible for final testing, integration, and inspection of electronic components. Ashok then worked at Alcatel Lucent as an Engineer, testing and integrating OCB racks and modules. In 1996, they joined Easycall as a Senior Engineer, setting up the radio-paging infrastructure and conducting maintenance. From 1997 to 1999, Ashok worked at Escotel Mobile Communications as an Engineer, installing and maintaining GSM infrastructure. Ashok then joined Lucent Technologies in Saudi Arabia from 1999 to 2000, commissioning and troubleshooting BTS and BSC equipment. In 2000, they worked at Lucent Technologies Australia as an Engineer, focused on commissioning and troubleshooting various base stations and equipment. Ashok joined Idea Cellular Ltd in 2001, holding positions from zonal technical operations to circle network head, overseeing BSS operations and technology upgrades. Ashok joined Vodafone Idea Limited in 2018 as VP of passive operations and is currently serving as Head of Operations Process & Quality Assurance at Indus Towers Limited since 2023.

Ashok Sorout has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Information Technology from Amity University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (BBA) from Shobhit Institute of Engineering & Technology from 2013 to 2015. Their earliest education was an Engineer's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Birla Technical Training Institute, where they studied from 1988 to 1991.
