Mark Jackson has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Mark started their career as a Municipal Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps from 2002 to 2004. Mark then worked as an Assistant Project Manager at Bovis Lend Lease from 2004 to 2008, where they were responsible for public bidding, contract evaluation, site logistics, value engineering, safety monitoring, and budgeting on various civic improvement projects.

Afterwards, Mark served as a Legal Intern at the NYC Board of Standards and Appeals in 2008, and as a Judicial Intern for Hon. Denny Chin at the United States District Court, Southern District of New York in 2009.

From 2011 to 2011, they worked as a Foreclosure Prevention Counselor at Grow Brooklyn / Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union.

In 2012, Mark joined the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation as an Assistant General Counsel until 2015. During their time there, they provided legal support and guidance to the organization.

From 2015 to 2020, Mark worked at Two Trees Management Co. as a Commercial Leasing Director / Counsel. Mark played a key role in commercial leasing and legal matters for the company.

In 2016, they became a Board Member at New Yorkers for Parks, contributing their expertise to the organization until 2018.

Mark's most recent position is as the General Counsel / VP at Industry City, starting in 2020. In this role, they hold significant responsibilities as the head of legal affairs and serves as a Vice President at the company.

Throughout their career, Mark has also served as a Board Member at the Brooklyn Queens Land Trust from 2013 to 2017.

Mark Jackson obtained their BA in Architecture from Columbia University between 1997 and 2001. Mark continued their education at Brooklyn Law School, where they pursued a JD and received a Real Estate Law Certificate from 2007 to 2011.
