Giovanni Maio

Giovanni Maio has a diverse work experience in the energy and environmental sectors. Giovanni currently works as a Solutions Engineer at Inenco Group, where they are responsible for delivering energy-related projects for clients. Prior to this, they worked as an Energy Consultant and completed projects for organizations such as the Food & Agriculture Organisation. Giovanni also worked as an Environmental Manager at Bespak, where they maintained the company's Environmental Management System and implemented measures to prevent plastic pollution. In the past, they served as a Renewable Energy Consultant at IMA Cooling & Energy Systems, where they managed the implementation of cold room installations and developed customer attraction strategies. Giovanni also held roles as a Procurement & Maintenance Leader at Luigis Complex Ltd, where they optimized processes and managed staff, and as an Energy Consultant at MS Engineering Services and hurleypalmerflatt, where they conducted energy audits and made recommendations for energy-saving measures.

Giovanni Maio's education history begins in 1994 when they attended Banjul American Embassy School until 1996. Giovanni then attended Marina International School from 1998 to 2000. After completing high school, Giovanni pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Reading from 2001 to 2004. Giovanni later continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Renewable Energy: Technology and Sustainability from 2006 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Giovanni Maio has obtained several certifications. Giovanni became an ESOS Lead Energy Assessor from the Energy Managers Association in February 2021. In July 2019, they received their ISO 50001 Lead Auditor certification from BSI, along with Undertaking Energy Audits to BS EN 16247 - Final Assessment from CrossKnowledge. Giovanni also holds a BREEAM AP certification from the BRE Academy, which they obtained in April 2017. Giovanni further expanded their project management skills by acquiring the PRINCE2 and PRINCE2 Agile® Project Management Certifications from AXELOS Global Best Practice in November 2017 and April 2019, respectively. Lastly, Giovanni Maio holds an ISO 14001 Internal Auditor certification from SGS.
