Youngjae Kang has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Youngjae currently holds the role of Chief Engineer at INFAC since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Tenneco from April 2014 to March 2022, holding positions such as Senior Engineer and Staff Engineer. Before joining Tenneco, they were a CAE engineer on site at Shiloh Industries in March 2014 and a CAE Engineer at Caelynx from March 2011 to April 2014. Youngjae also worked as a CAE engineer on site at Tenneco from January 2013 to October 2013. Youngjae started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan from January 2010 to March 2011, where they focused on FE modeling for performance improvements and frost protection methods for durable concrete. Prior to that, they were a GSRA at the University of Michigan from January 2004 to December 2009, where they conducted research on concrete durability and air void system analysis. Youngjae's early work experience includes being a GSRA at Kyung Hee University from August 1999 to August 2001.
Youngjae Kang received their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Kyung Hee University in 1999. Youngjae then pursued their Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Kyung Hee University from 1999 to 2001. Later, they attended the University of Michigan from 2003 to 2009, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering.
