Melinda Gilroy

Certified Instructor at Infant Swimming Resource

Melinda Gilroy has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Melinda began their career in 2005 at Schlumberger, where they worked as an MWD. In 2009, they transitioned to become an English Teacher at Peizheng College.

Following this, Melinda worked as a Travel Agent at Selloffvacations.com from December 2010 to June 2011. Melinda then joined Competent Canada in September 2010 as an Office Manager, responsible for day-to-day activities, bookkeeping, and inventory management. Melinda held this role until March 2013.

In 2011, Melinda started working at AquaSport Scuba Centre as a Scuba Instructor, providing scuba diving lessons until January 2015. During the same period, they also worked as a Certified Travel Consultant at TravelOnly, offering travel consultation services, until May 2020.

Most recently, Melinda has been working at Infant Swimming Resource since July 2017. As the only certified instructor in Canada, they offer safe self-rescue swimming lessons for infants and children up to six years old, helping them develop a love and respect for the water.

Melinda Gilroy completed their education at the University of Calgary from 2000 to 2003, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geography. Prior to that, they attended Humber College from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained an Honours Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
