Sebastian Horstmann

Sebastian Horstmann is currently an Embedded Machine Learning Engineer at InferSens since 2022. Prior to that, they were the Co-Founder of open-seneca from 2018 to 2022, a Freeman of the City of London at the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers from 2021 to 2022, a Continental Lead: Europe at Global Engineering Futures from 2020 to 2021, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge from 2022 to 2018, a Handball Men's Team Captain at the University of Cambridge from 2018 to 2016, and a Graduate Research Student at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences from 2016 to 2018.

Sebastian Horstmann has a comprehensive education history. Sebastian obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medical Physics from the University of Düsseldorf in 2015, followed by a Master of Science in Medical Physics from the same university in 2017. In 2018, they completed a Master of Research in Sensor Technologies from the University of Cambridge. Sebastian is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Additionally, they are part of the Accelerate Programme Cohort 24 at the Cambridge Judge Entrepreneurship Centre, which they are expected to complete in 2022. In April 2020, they obtained a Bloomberg Market Concepts certification from Bloomberg LP.
