Eric Villard

Eric Villard has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies in the telecommunications industry. Eric began their career as a Transport Engineer at Alcatel in 1997 before moving on to MCM Telecom as a Network Operations Transport and Data Engineer in 1998. In 2000, Villard joined Lucent Technologies as an Optical Network Test Engineer. Eric then worked as a Network Provisioning Engineer at Level 3 Communications from 2003 to 2007. Villard then transitioned to Verizon Wireless, where they served as a Facilities and Transport Engineer from 2007 to 2008 and later as a System Operations employee from 2008 to 2011. Eric moved to Verizon Innovation Center in 2012, starting as a Product Development Engineer and later becoming a Technology Manager until 2015. Currently, Villard is working at Infinera, where they have held the positions of Global Manager Customer Labs since 2015 and Principal Systems Engineer since 2018.

Eric Villard obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey in the years 1994 to 1998. Eric then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University from 2004 to 2006.
