Scott Demars

Scott DeMars is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product engineering and reliability within the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as the Product Engineering and Reliability Director at Infinera since May 2006, Scott has been instrumental in the development and release of high-capacity Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) and modules. Previous positions at Infinera include Product Engineering Manager, focusing on ASIC and test operations management. Prior to Infinera, Scott worked at JDSU as a Reliability/FA Manager and InP Research Section Manager, contributing to the reliability and development of laser technologies. Earlier career experiences include roles at SDL, Inc. managing high power laser R&D and at the University of Southern California as a Graduate Research Assistant. Scott holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Electrophysics from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
