Sourabindu Dutta has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as a Senior R & D Engineer at Tejas Networks, where they focused on diagnostic software development for TJ1270 series cards. Sourabindu then joined Huawei in 2010 as a Senior Software Engineer and worked on implementing statistic services in a network following a distributed kernel architecture. In 2011, they joined Cisco as a Software Engineer II and later advanced to Software Engineer III. At Cisco, they were responsible for development on various high-end switches, such as ME3600, ME3800, ME3600-CX, and ASR921. Sourabindu also worked on the development support for optical transceivers and implemented the Diagnostic Monitoring Interface for Optical Transceivers according to the SFF8472 standard. In 2017, Sourabindu joined Infinera as a Staff Software Engineer and subsequently became a Principal Software Engineer. At Infinera, they provided support for various network protocols, such as DHCP, NTP, and syslog-ng. Sourabindu also worked on QEMU-based simulator bring-up and x86 virtualization using qcow2 images for Infinera G4X/G3X series switches.

Sourabindu Dutta earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. In addition, they obtained a certification in Business Development Foundations from LinkedIn in March 2019.
