Principal VFX artist at Inflexion Games

Omar Parada has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of visual effects (VFX) for video games. Omar is currently working as a Principal VFX artist at Inflexion Games, where they started in 2022.

Previously, Omar worked as a Senior VFX artist at Improbable from 2019 to 2022. During their time there, they contributed to various internal projects and worked on effects for games like Scavengers, Scavlab, and Alexa.

Before Improbable, Omar held the position of Principal VFX artist at Slightly Mad Studios from 2018 to 2019. Omar played a key role in the VFX area of a Fast & Furious franchise game, working on concept, creation, and implementation of VFX content.

From 2016 to 2018, Omar worked as a Principal VFX Artist at The Imaginati Studios Ltd. Omar was responsible for the visual effects look development and implementation for the game "Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier."

Prior to that, Omar worked as a Senior VFX artist at Lionhead Studios from 2015 to 2016, where they focused on visual effects for the cancelled project, Fable Legends.

Beginning their career in 2010, Omar worked as a Senior VFX artist at Ninja Theory, where they contributed to projects like Disney Infinity 3.0, Disney Infinity 2.0, and a pitching material for the undisclosed project RAZER.

Omar also has experience as a Senior 3D Artist at Zinkia Entertainment, Lead Technical Artist at Pyro Studios, and 3D Artist at People Interactiva. Omar started their career as a Freelance 3D Artist at Balance SL.

Throughout their career, Omar has gained expertise in various aspects of VFX, including character gameplay effects, environment effects, particle FX, and optimization of art assets and shaders.

Omar Parada attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 1993 to 2000, where they studied Computer Science. Omar did not obtain a degree in this field. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Modern Art & Ideas" from Coursera in June 2020, "What Is Contemporary Art?" from Coursera in May 2020, and "Seeing Through Photographs" from Coursera in June 2017.
