Tarek Salah

Tarek Salah is the Technology Management Department Manager at the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA). Tarek has over six years of experience in program management, VLSI design, and business consultation services.

In 2010, Tarek started as the Fabrication and Design Center Manager at TIEC. In this role, they were responsible for setting up a research team in VLSI design and establishing an infrastructure for VLSI design and simulation with CAD tools. Tarek also negotiated research collaboration deals with specific companies.

In 2012, Tarek transitioned to ITIDA where they took on the role of Micro and Small Enterprises Development Unit Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing ITIDA's industry and capability development programs. This included the GrowIT Program, which aimed to improve the competitiveness of Egyptian SMEs through business consultation services, and the ManageIT Program, which offered ICT professionals business skills development courses.

Under Tarek's leadership, the ManageIT Program grew to 4 levels of management training, Junior staff, first-line managers, middle managers, and top managers. To date, they have successfully trained over 60 SMEs with a budget of 6+ M EGP.

Tarek Salah has completed a Data Analysis Professional Nanodegree from Udacity, a VR Developer Nanodegree from Udacity, a course of higher education in "Governance and Development of SMEs in Egypt" from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, an MSc in Management of Technology from Nile University - NU, and a BSc in Electronics and electrical Communications from Cairo University. Tarek Salah also holds certification from edX in Statistical Thinking for Data Science and Analytics, Persuasion and Presence for Program and Project Managers, and Technology Entrepreneurship: Lab to Market. Additionally, Tarek Salah is a Unity Certified Developer from Unity Technologies.
