Justine Carmichael

Justine Carmichael was appointed Executive Director, Human Resources in March 2023. She brings 30 years of local and international HR experience, including leadership roles across BHP, United Airlines and equigroup (part of the CBA group). Before joining ING Justine was Chief People Officer at Smartgroup.

Justine has a track record in leading teams, supporting executives, embedding diversity and inclusion strategies and developing talent. As a modern HR leader, she uses human centred design to navigate change.

Justine holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Queensland, Graduate Diploma of Industrial Relations from Queensland University of Technology and Masters of Commerce from University of Wollongong.
