Víctor J. Martínez Pérez

PhD, MSc Metallurgical and Mining Engineering. More than 20 years of experience related to materials, inspection, pressure vessels and steel construction.

He started his professional career in ACERALIA (now ARCELOR MITTAL) as Quality Assistant in Gijón’s Steelmaking Plant in 1998. In 1999 he joined Lloyd’s Register (LR) Group. For 10 years he had different positions and gained qualifications in LR as a Materials & Industrial Surveyor, Senior Surveyor, ASME Authorized Inspector (AI), Supervisor (AIS) and Nuclear Inspector (ANI) among others. He performed his duties in the LR Gijón office up to 2006, being promoted to Industrial Manager for Northern Spain, based in Bilbao in 2007.

In January 2009, he joined IDESA as Vice-Director of Operations. Later on, he became Director of Operations in 2010 and Managing Director in 2014.

Since October 2017 he has been the Quality Director of the company.
