McKenzie Thebeau has a long and varied work experience. From 2013-2022, they have worked in a variety of roles across multiple industries. In 2013, they began their professional career as a Server and Busser at Augusta National Golf Club. McKenzie then worked as a Rental Assistant at Historic Columbia Foundation, an Internal Membership Director at Phi Mu Lambda Theta, an Events Manager and Reservations Assistant and Waiter at Spinner's Resort and Marina, and a Special Events and Media Coordinator Intern at the Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce. Currently, they are the Operations Manager at InHome Therapy.

McKenzie Thebeau received a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from the University of South Carolina in 2015. In 2021, they earned a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from East Carolina University. McKenzie also holds four certifications from LinkedIn, including Agile at Work: Reporting with Agile Charts and Boards (2021), Agile at Work: Planning with Agile User Stories (2021), Transitioning from Waterfall to Agile Project Management (2021), and Project Portfolio Management Foundations (2020).
