Yiwen S. has a diverse work experience in product management and leadership roles. They began their career as a Health Researcher and Analyst, executing qualitative patient journey research for healthcare and pharma clients. They then transitioned to a role as a Brand Analyst, supporting the development of business and brand strategies for various industries.

Yiwen later joined Self Care Catalysts as a Product Manager, leading the development and launch of digital health apps for channel partners. They also served as the Director of Operations, driving product commercialization activities and leading partnerships with patient organizations.

In 2017, Yiwen joined the Centre for Social Innovation as a Product Manager, where they established product management practices and contributed to the development of social impact measurement tools.

Afterwards, Yiwen worked as a Product Manager at Ample Organics, leading the medical/retail product line of a seed-to-sale platform and building expertise in Canada's medical cannabis regulations.

Prior to their current position, Yiwen served as the Director of Product Management at Self Care Catalysts, leading the development and implementation of an electronic patient-reported outcome platform for partners such as the U.S. Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System.

Currently, Yiwen is the VP of Product at Inkblot Therapy, where they lead product, design, quality assurance, data, and technical writing teams. They have successfully scaled the product team and structured the organization for maximal effectiveness.

Yiwen S. has an Hon. B.A. degree in Philosophy, Ethics, and Bioethics from the University of Toronto. They also have completed Continuing Studies in Digital Media Skills from OCAD University. In addition to their academic qualifications, Yiwen S. has obtained several certifications, including Certified Professional - Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) from ICAgile in November 2022, Product Leadership from Reforge in November 2021, Mental Health First Aid from the Mental Health Commission of Canada in May 2021, Leadership Development for Early Career Women from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in November 2016, User Experience Design from General Assembly in 2015, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance in November 2015, and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in September 2017.
