Mademba Cisse has a diverse and extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Mademba worked as a Sr. Director of Market Access & Regulatory Affairs at Inmarsat since March 2016. Prior to that, they were the Director of M.C. Consulting from January 2011 to February 2016. Mademba held the position of Senior Vice-President of Regulatory and Business Development at Infinity Worldwide Telecommunications Group of Companies from August 2006 to December 2010. Mademba also worked as an International Consultant in telecommunications in Africa from January 2005 to June 2006, and as a Senior Vice President of Business Development at AfriHUB from July 2003 to December 2004. Mademba Cisse was the President of the African Communications Corporation from May 1999 to July 2003. Mademba served as the Executive Director for Africa, Middle East and South Asia at Iridium LLC in Washington DC from January 1995 to May 1999. Additionally, they held the position of Director of The ITU Regional Office for Africa at the ITU: International Telecommunications Union in Geneva from September 1992 to December 1994. Mademba started their career as a Senior Operations Planner at INTELSAT in Washington DC from September 1989 to August 1992, and prior to that, they were the Director of Société Nationale des Télécommunications du Sénégal from January 1985 to January 1989.

Mademba Cisse attended the Institut National des Cadres des Telecommunications from 1973 to 1976, where they earned a degree in Ingenieur des Travaux with a specialization in Telecommunications.
