Divya G Nallur has extensive experience in the field of psychiatry, with a focus on addiction. Divya began their career as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Cwm Taff NHS Trust in 2008, where they worked until 2013. Divya then joined Nottinghamshire healthcare NHS Trust as a Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in addictions from 2013 to 2014.
In 2015, Divya became an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at The International Medical School, Management and Science University, where they taught and trained aspiring medical professionals.
From 2016 to 2019, Divya served as the Medical Director at People Tree Maarga Hospital, a consultant-led service aimed at providing comprehensive mental health care. Divya played a crucial role in establishing the hospital, overseeing various aspects of its development, from building selection to staff recruitment.
In 2019, Divya co-founded People Tree Maarga, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Consultant Psychiatrist, Addictions Specialist, Inpatient Lead, and Co-founder. Here, they continued to provide expert psychiatric care and contributed to the growth and success of the organization.
Most recently, Divya joined Amaha (formerly InnerHour) in 2022 as the Clinical Director and Senior Consultant Psychiatrist. Divya utilizes their expertise to provide high-quality psychiatric services and contribute to the growth and development of the organization.
Divya G Nallur has a diverse and comprehensive education history in the field of psychiatry. Firstly, from 2002 to 2006, Divya pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Psychiatry at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd. Following that, in 2007 and 2008, Divya attended the University of Birmingham where they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Prior to their post-graduate studies, Divya pursued their undergraduate education at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute from 1994 to 1999, earning an MBBS degree in Medicine.
Divya then focused on honing their specialized skills in psychiatry by completing various training programs. From 2008 onwards, Divya attended the Royal College of Psychiatrists, where they obtained a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.
During their residency, Divya also pursued the MRCPsych (Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists), a Psychiatry Residency Program that they started in 2005 and is still ongoing.
Currently, in 2021, Divya is enrolled at the Royal College of Psychiatrists once again, pursuing an advanced degree in FRCPsych (Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists) with a focus on Psychiatry.
