Innocence Project
Gurvir Gill is a legal professional currently serving as a Staff Lawyer for both Innocence Canada and the Innocence Project since August 2018. In addition, Gurvir has been an Instructor at both York University - Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Toronto Faculty of Law since 2018 and 2019, respectively. Prior experience includes roles as an Assistant Crown Attorney with the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General and as an Associate at Cooper, Sandler, Shime & Bergman LLP. Gurvir began involvement with the Innocence Project during law school as an Executive Assistant and later as a Student Caseworker. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws in Criminal Law and Procedure and a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, along with participation in the Canadian and American Dual J.D. Program at the University of Windsor and an Honour Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.
