Gianpiero Bognanni

Gianpiero Bognanni has over 20 years of experience in various roles in the technology industry. Gianpiero began their career at ST Microelectronics as a Digital Designer from 1994 to 1996. Gianpiero then worked as a Hardware Engineer at PIRELLI OPTICAL SYSTEMS from 1997 to 2000. Bognanni joined Cisco Systems in 2000 and held the positions of HW Engineer and later Senior HW Engineer until 2017. In these roles, they were responsible for the characterization and validation of transceivers' high-speed electrical interfaces and the development of complex test setups. From 2017 to 2020, Bognanni worked as a Senior Field Application Engineer at Source Photonics, where they provided technical support for the company's products and played a key role in product qualification and design win activities. Currently, Bognanni is working as a Senior Field Application Engineer at InnoLight Technology (Suzhou) Ltd., where they support the technical needs of customers in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions and collaborates with various teams to improve products and shape the roadmap for future generations.

Gianpiero Bognanni's education history begins in 1984 when they attended ITIS MOLINARI and obtained a diploma in computer science in 1988. Gianpiero then enrolled in Politecnico di Milano and pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from 1988 to 1995. During the same period, they also attained an MD degree in Electronics from Politecnico di Milano.
