Tao Zhang

Principal DSP Engineer at InnoPhase

Tao Zhang has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Starting in 1997 as a Research Engineer at Oki Techno Center, they went on to work as a Principal System Engineer at National Semiconductor from 2000 to 2003. After that, they joined Olympus Communication Technology of America as a Senior Member of Technical Staff before transitioning to Texas Instruments as a Senior System Engineer. In 2008, Tao Zhang became a Principal System Engineer and Founder at IPG Communications, where they also served as Treasurer. Tao then moved on to Mindspeed Technologies as a Distinguished Engineer, where they led a project focused on physical layer signal processing for 3G small cell baseband chips. With this experience under their belt, Tao Zhang became a Systems Principal Engineer and Senior System Engineering Manager at Olympus Communication Technology of America, where they worked until 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Senior RF System Application Engineer at Litepoint, a Teradyne company. As of 2021, Tao Zhang is working as a Principal DSP Engineer at INNOPHASE.

Tao Zhang completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University from 1986 to 1991. Additionally, Tao obtained a certification in Data Science with Python in 2018.
