Irene Iglesias Gómez

Irene Iglesias Gómez has a diverse work experience. Irene started their career in 2018 as an Extracurricular academic intern at the Infrastructures and Services Service at the Carlos III University of Madrid. In 2018, they also worked as a Regular Contractor at Accenture for a short period of time. Irene continued their journey with Accenture in 2019 as a Regular Contractor.

In 2019, Irene joined the Intelligent Systems Lab as a Research Intern, where they focused on the development of computer vision systems for various applications. Irene worked on intelligent transportation systems and the detection of defects in solar modules using technologies such as computer vision, deep learning, neural networks, point clouds, and data fusion. Irene also gained experience as a Research Support Technician at the Intelligent Systems Lab, where they worked on the development of tools for the optimization of large-scale solar photovoltaic plants. Irene handled large amounts of data, documented processes, and designed algorithms and technical validation tests using object detection toolboxes based on PyTorch and convolutional neural networks.

In 2021, Irene joined Quatechnion, SL. as a Unity Developer and stayed with the company until 2022. Currently, they are working as a Unity Developer at Innovamat.

Irene Iglesias Gómez completed their education at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. From 2015 to 2019, they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. Irene then continued their education at the same university and earned a MSc in Robotics and Automation from 2019 to 2021.
