Mariemma Lopez

Mariemma has been working as an administrator of educational programs funded with federal funds for over 13 years. As an attorney, she started working in the education arena while being the Director of the Office of Federal Affairs, managing all funds related to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) on 2005. Since 2007 she has been working and coordinating educational programs at school level as well as district level, implementing research-based practices, especially on Transformation Schools under Title I, section 1003 (g). As a senior administrator, Mariemma brings to IEP a firsthand perspective on how to guarantee that students are receiving a high-quality education as well as compliance with federal requirements.
