The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Supply Planner, Singapore, to join our Group Inbound Supply Chain team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract basis.

Reporting to the Group Supply Planning Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to ensure compliant, saleable and optimised inventory of current and new products are available in iNova distribution centres in RSA, AMENA and ANZ regions for an assigned portfolio of products from an assigned group of External Manufacturing Organisations (EMOs).

Key accountabilities include:

Accountabilities

  • iLaunch process for delivery of new products
  • Projects related to tech transfers and cost and quality improvements

Relevant cGMP / Quality /Regulatory processes

  • Development of good planning processes and systems to drive efficiency
  • Projects related to process improvements within planning and cross-functional
  • Projects to integrate acquisitions
  • EMO meetings to achieve the supply outcomes
  • Logistics management of supplies from EMOs to Distribution Centres

This role works closely with External Manufacturing Directors, Marketing, Sales, Quality, Regulatory, Artwork, Finance, Project Managers.

  1. Planning and execution
  • Development of realistic Supply Plans per respective Regional Demand Forecasts, Inventory Policies and EMO Performance.
  • Reviews on month on month forecast changes and aligns with Demand Planners.
  • Generates supply plans based on efficient batch utilisation and optimising shipment loading.
  • Raises purchase orders per supply plan requirements, lead time and based on contractual agreed pricing and minimum ordering quantity.
  • Timely submission of rolling 12–18-month supply forecasts sent to External Manufacturer.
  • Reviews unplanned changes to supply, assess implications and propose optimised solutions to avoid/mitigate stock out/loss sales
  • Takes ownership and develop consistent and effective planning documents with EMOs.
  1. Inventory Management & Order Delivery Management
  • Plans Inventory to agreed safety stock parameters, MOQ, manufacturing lead times, Freight transit lead time and strategic/tactical projects.
  • Management of short shelf life and SLOB materials (FG, RM, packaging materials) and recommend options to mitigate exposure.
  • Coordinate with EMOs, Freight Forwarders and receiving sites on deliveries/shipments to storage locations in Australia, South Africa and AMENA.
  • Ensure timely availability of required commercial and shipping documents.
  • Drive for freight costs and lead time optimization through engagements with EMOs, freight forwarders and Regional Supply Chain teams.
  1. Supplier Management
  • Runs regular (weekly, monthly, fortnightly) Supply reviews with key EMOs, minutes and follows up actions.
  • Develops continuous improvement plans per appropriate set of KPIs which measure EMO performance.
  • Supports and or leads Process changes within EMOs – e.g., batch size changes, site transfers
  • Prepares and publish SIFOT report to monitor EMOs/Supplier’s performance.
  • Establish regular reviews of planning documents, communications and cadence with EMOs and develop improvement plans
  1. Internal Management
  • Establish/maintain regular updates and communication process with internal stakeholders (Regional Supply Chain, Commercial, Marketing, Quality Management teams etc.) to align of supply requirements and expectations.

  • Timely updates of supply requirements, risks and clear communications of supply plans.

  • Supports in prioritising supplies for respective region/market per most cost and time efficient manners.

  1. NPI and Change Management
  • Supports product changes to ensure the Right Products are being delivered to the right markets per agreed Project timelines.

  • Plans transition/launches of changing or new products by working closely with Business/QA/Artwork/Regulatory teams to ensure all change processes/products are implemented in a timely manner.

  • Supports timely investigation of deviations and relevant CAPA to ensure product quality and processes are within regulations. Change actions, investigations and CAPA completed on time.

  • Supporting and/or leading Site Transfers activities.

  1. Process Management and Improvement
  • Improving efficiency – Automation of processes via EDI or other systems related activity.

  • Identify, develop and implement process improvements in S&OP, Inventory Management and Planning.

  • Establish Root Cause Analysis on any supply/process’s issues, recommend and implement recovery/action plans.

  • Maintain current SOPs and WI’s

  • Ensures all company compliance training is completed on time

  • Supports EMO Directors with Pricing review updates and approvals.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business mandatory plus a minimum of 5-8 years’ of experience and good understanding of supply planning in a regional/global capacity. Preferable someone who has run the process in excel instead of a system

Other key requirements for this role include:

  • University qualifications – Bachelor level in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business mandatory plus a minimum of five year in a Supply Chain Planning role.

  • Communication – must have the ability to communicate widely within and outside the business

  • Analytical Skills – must have the ability to analyse data and make recommendations

  • Negotiation Skills – must have the ability to negotiate well with suppliers and customers

  • Strong in SAP, Logility (Preferred), Excel, Power Query, Power BI

  • APICS, any other Supply chain certifications
