Joel Ezell

Joel Ezell has extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Joel is currently working as a Senior Principal Engineer at Inovalon. Prior to this, Joel worked as a Principal Engineer at LivePerson, where they served as the Chief Architect for LivePerson Voice, overseeing the development of a cloud-native voice solution. Before LivePerson, they held the position of Senior Cloud Software Architect at Oracle, where they played a key role in driving the evolution of microservices in Oracle Service Cloud. Joel also worked at Conga as a Principal Engineer, leading teams from different acquired companies and focusing on the adoption of cloud-native technologies.

Joel spent a significant portion of their career at Avaya, where they held the position of Senior R&D Architect. In this role, they led teams responsible for merging API platforms, developing Application Enablement Services, and bringing Avaya Breeze from concept to production. Joel also served as a Technical Manager at Avaya for a period of three years. Prior to Avaya, Joel worked at Lucent Technologies as an MTS and gained foundational experience at Microsoft as a Software Test Engineer.

Joel Ezell holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they obtained between 1991 and 1995. In addition, they have pursued various certifications in the field of Cloud Computing and Machine Learning through Coursera, including Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine, Essential Cloud Infrastructure, and Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals. The years in which they obtained these certifications are not specified.
