Karla Nascimento Sena began their work experience in 2015 at Eldorado Brasil Celulose S/A as an Aux. Administrativo. Karla then transitioned to their current position as a Research Lead at InPlanet in 2023. In their role at InPlanet, Karla has conducted experiments testing rock powders as remineralizers in various soil types, focusing on understanding their impact on plant growth. Currently, they are actively involved in implementing InPlanet's first Field Monitoring Station as part of the first Enhanced Rock Weathering pilot in Brazil, working alongside the science team.

Karla Nascimento Sena has a strong educational background in the field of agronomy and soil science. Karla began their academic journey in 2008 at the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Agronomic Engineering, specializing in Soil Science. Karla successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2013.

After their graduation, Karla sought further education to deepen their knowledge and expertise. In 2013, they enrolled in the Centro Educacional Claretiano to pursue a specialization in Environmental Management, with a focus on agronomy and soils. This program lasted from 2013 to 2014 and provided Karla with specialized skills in managing environmental aspects related to agricultural practices.

Motivated to advance their career and contribute to the field of agronomy, Karla joined the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho in 2014 to pursue a Master's degree in Plant Production. Karla specialized in Soil Science and focused on the use and management of soils. Karla successfully completed their Master's degree in 2015, further enhancing their expertise in their chosen field.

Continuing their pursuit of higher education, Karla embarked on a PhD in Agronomy, specifically in the area of Vegetal Production, at the same university in 2017. This program provided their with an opportunity to engage in advanced research and contribute to the field. Karla's doctoral studies in Soil Science and Agronomy broadened their understanding and skills over the course of four years and were successfully concluded in 2021.
