Essential Functions:

  • Performs all electrical tasks with general supervision, has the ability to read blueprints, terminate cable, install, and troubleshoot control wiring from drawings.

  • Install and terminate feeders.

  • Wire and conduit sizing.

  • Switchgear and device installation and termination.

  • Layout and preparation for installation.

  • Underground layout and rough-in.

  • Motors and controls troubleshooting and reading one-line diagrams.

  • Possess all skills of lower job titles (apprentice electrician).

  • Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code

  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs

  • Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation

  • Install various types of conduits.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Training:

  • Complete Equipment Training

  • Complete OSHA 10 and 30

  • Complete all Safety Certifications

Skills:

  • Positively identify color of wires.

  • Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics.

  • Bend conduit by hand with hand benders.

  • Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.

  • Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.

  • Operate equipment, trenchers, backhoe, lift in safe manner.

  • Practices and comprehends safe work procedures per Company policy.

  • Operate two- (2) handed tools/ equipment cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.

  • Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmission.

  • Reads and interprets maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions.

  • Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electrical or gas powered).

  • Work on energized circuits and equipment with company management approval as outlined in Health and Safety Program.

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years or older.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Degree from a 4-year trade school preferred or a minimum of five years in the industry

  • Applicants must have current knowledge of the National Electric Code and electrical theory

  • Background in design/build electrical construction is preferred

  • Must have commercial/industrial experience

  • Must have the ability to adapt to various working environments

  • Proficient skills in reading project drawings and submittals

  • Strong problem solving skills along with critical thinking

  • Applicants must complete a background check and have a valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to pass drug screen

  • Data Center and strong Industrial experience highly preferred!

Working/ Environment/ Physical Demands to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to climb, crawl, kneel, stand, balance, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and greater than 60 pounds using appropriate equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to properly use such safety equipment as is appropriate to the work to prevent injury to self or others. The job can be performed under extreme temperature and some hazardous conditions
