Built Environment Coverage Editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer

Cindy Henry is the current Built Environment Coverage Editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer. Cindy has been with the company since January 2009, starting as the Assistant New Jersey Editor/General Assignment Reporter. In this role, they acted as a writing coach to staff columnist and newly hired young reporters and interns, in addition to being a general assignment and higher education reporter in South Jersey. In June 2011, they were promoted to Deputy New Jersey Editor, where they helped to supervise the staff of about 20 reporters and direct coverage of South Jersey, Trenton and the Jersey Shore. Cindy also oversaw the South Jersey section of inquirer.com and contributed to the Inquirer's presence in social media. In October 2007, Cindy became the New Jersey Neighbors Editor. Prior to that, they served on the Editorial Board from January 1996 to December 2007.

Cindy Henry earned their M.A. in English from Rutgers University - Camden and their Bachelor of Science in Journalism from The University of Kansas.
