Susan Snyder is a higher education writer at The Philadelphia Inquirer. Prior to their current position, Susan was an education reporter for The Morning Call, where they were assigned to cover 40-plus school districts and a dozen colleges and universities in the Lehigh Valley. Some of the series they worked on include teacher recruiting in Puerto Rico, the personal and academic struggles of ninth graders at risk of dropping out, problems with out-of-school suspension, the teaching of values and character, merit pay for educators and an experiment in year-round schooling. Susan has also worked as a general assignment reporter for Standard Speaker and The Freeman's Journal.
