Koen Visscher

Scientific Advisor at Inscopix

Koen Visscher has held various positions in the scientific field since 1994. Koen began their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Princeton University, where they worked with Prof. Steven M. Block in the field of Single Molecule Biophysics. In 1999, they moved to the University of Arizona, where they held the position of Assoc. Prof of Physics. Theirresearch interests included Advanced Optical Microscopy, Optical Tweezers, Single-Molecule Biophysics, and RNA structure and function. In 2016, they joined Inscopix, Inc. as the Director of R&D.

Koen Visscher completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the University of Amsterdam between 1988 and 1993. Before that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the University of Twente between 1982 and 1988.
