Karolina Kalbarczyk

Karolina Kalbarczyk has extensive work experience in the field of chemical engineering and biotechnology. Karolina started their career as a Cancer Research Intern at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2008, where they conducted research on cutting-edge cancer research and gained expertise in DNA gene insertion and modification. Karolina then worked as a Research Assistant and later as a Biochemical Engineering Intern at the same institution.

In 2010, Karolina joined the California Institute of Technology as a Chemical Engineering Researcher, where they worked on various research projects related to their field. Karolina also served as a Chemical Engineering Research Senior Thesis Student and a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow during their time at the institute.

Karolina continued their academic journey at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they pursued a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering. Their research focused on engineering synthetic communities for biofuel and pharmaceutical production. Karolina designed microbial systems with interchangeable modules and conducted experiments to enhance bioproduct synthesis.

From 2021 to 2023, Karolina worked at Sestina Bio, LLC. as a Scientist III, where they applied their expertise in biotechnology to contribute to the company's research and development activities.

Currently, Karolina is working as a Senior Scientist II at Inscripta, Inc. since 2023, where they continue to utilize their extensive knowledge in the field of biotechnology.
