Dari Gessner is the CEO of Inside Higher Ed. Dari has extensive experience in the media and publishing industries, having served in various leadership roles at POLITICO and TomTom.

Gessner began their career at TomTom in 2007 as a Sr. Manager of Sales and Business Development. Dari was responsible for driving renewals and growing existing business, as well as optimizing the client experience and brand image of POLITICO Pro. In 2013, they transitioned to Managing Director of Account Management at POLITICO. In this role, they provided strategic direction for the Account Management team and oversaw new revenue streams and markets.

In 2015, Gessner left POLITICO to join POLITICO Europe as their Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, they oversaw advertising, events and subscription revenue teams that support clients and the business model for non-partisan journalism. Dari returned to POLITICO in 2020 as Vice President of New Markets and Enterprise Partnerships, where they were responsible for product innovation and new revenue opportunities.
