Martin Serrano, Ph.D., is a seasoned data scientist specializing in IoT, M2M, AI, and robotics. Presently, Martin serves as an International Associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), focusing on smart cities and cyber-physical systems. In addition, Martin is a Principal Investigator at the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics and a unit head at the Data Science Institute at the National University of Ireland Galway. Responsibilities extend to guest lecturing at various universities, coordinating research initiatives at the European Commission, and leading projects involving sensor middleware and data analytics.
