Mark Ibrahim

Mark Ibrahim is an experienced professional in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as a Staff Research Engineer at Facebook AI since July 2019. In addition, Mark leads the Explainable AI team at Capital One, focusing on developing tools and research for elucidating deep neural network predictions, while also advising at Insight Data Science and previously working as a Data Engineering Fellow. Mark's early career includes roles such as Freelance Software Engineer at Condé Nast, Quantitative Portfolio Risk Analyst at UBS Investment Bank, and a portfolio management internship at ING Investment Management. Academically, Mark holds a Bachelor's degree magna cum laude in Mathematics from Hamilton College, a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Vermont, and completed a MicroMasters in Statistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
