Marietta Bowman

Senior Study Director, Data Collection at Insight Policy Research

Marietta brings more than 17 years of experience as a survey research professional, designing and implementing nationwide studies that inform policy and practice. Her expertise is in the design and management of survey data collection operations that incorporate individualized protocols to work with diverse target populations. She has developed sample management tools and activities, questionnaire design and testing, sample member outreach and prompting strategies, and interviewer training programs. Marietta has supported projects for a range of federal clients, such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Education, and the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Marietta supports data collection activities on several Insight projects, providing expertise on survey development, recruitment strategies, and data collection methodologies. Currently, she oversees data collection for the Monitoring and Evaluation of Medicare Part C and Part D Sponsors’ Customer Service and Pharmacy Centers for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. She also oversees the design and data collection, analysis, and reporting activities for the biennial merit review web survey for NSF.

Prior to joining Insight, Marietta was a senior research director at NORC at the University of Chicago, where she managed national, multimode studies with individuals, families, and institutions. She holds an M.S.W. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
