Raul Ospina has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Raul is currently the Director of Engineering at Insightly, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Software Engineering at Safe Fleet from 2018 to 2022. In this role, they led a team of Software Development Managers and was responsible for developing a portfolio of products across various transportation markets. Raul managed a team of over 100 indirect reports across international locations.

Before their time at Safe Fleet, Raul worked at Seon from 2012 to 2018. Raul started as a Senior Software Manager in July 2015 and later became a Software Manager until April 2018. At Seon, they led and coached software managers and software architects, managed remote development teams, and played a key role in strategic planning. Raul also established and organized the DevOps team and defined its strategy.

Prior to Seon, Raul worked at PSL from 2004 to 2012. Raul started as a Software Developer in June 2004 and eventually became a Software Architect and Senior Developer. At PSL, they led the development team in rewriting a large Help Desk application and promoted agile development practices. Raul also played a crucial role in architecting and developing a web-based application for managing services offered to ships crossing the Panama Canal, significantly improving operational productivity.

Throughout their career, Raul has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a track record of successfully managing teams and delivering complex projects.

Raul Ospina obtained a degree in System Engineering from Universidad de Antioquia, where they studied Computer Science. Raul attended the university from 1996 to 2006. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career, including "Git Real 2" and "Git Real" from Code School in 2015, "Shaping up with Angular.js" from Code School in 2014, "Designing and Developing Web Applications Using Microsoft .NET Framework 4", "Accessing Data with Microsoft.NET Framework 4", "Windows Communication Foundation Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4", and "Web Applications Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4" from Microsoft in 2011. Raul also holds the "Sun Certified Programmer for Java Platform, Standard Edition 5" certification from Sun Microsystems in 2008 and "Developing and Implementing Web Applications with Microsoft Visual C# .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET" certification from Microsoft in 2004. In 2011, they obtained the "Certified ScrumMaster / CSM" certification from Scrum Alliance.
