Ben Miller

Ben Miller is the current VP of Automation at insitro. Before that, they were the Senior Director of Automation Engineering at Recursion from October 2016 to May 2022, responsible for developing comprehensive maintenance and quality control systems for automation and other equipment used in Myriad's CLIA certified laboratories. Ben implemented an automated maintenance and calibration tracking and trending system integrated across several departments.

Before their time at Recursion, Ben was the Operational Intelligence Engineer at Myriad Genetics from May 2008 to October 2016. In this role, they were responsible for data mining, reporting and detecting trends in performance of Myriad's highly automated genetic testing laboratories.

Ben's first job out of college was as the Product Manager at Guyot Designs from September 2007 to May 2008. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining the e-commerce website integrated with Netsuite and developing web marketing campaigns with sales e-mailers responsible for all stages of production from initial photography to mailer response tracking.

Before their time at Guyot Designs, Ben was the Technical Support Coordinator at Velocity11 an Agilent Technologies Company from January 2006 to September 2007.

Ben Miller has a M.S. in Genetic Engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College and a BA in Engineering from Dartmouth College.

Ben Miller reports to Daphne Koller, Founder & CEO, Board Member. Ben Miller works with Martha Rook - Chief Technical Operations Officer, Tom Stocky - SVP, Lab & Data Platform, and Robert Hilgraf - VP, Molecular Design.
