Jim Wood

Jim Wood currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Insitu Inc, overseeing the development of hardware and subsystem product lines since April 2017. Wood's previous roles include Senior Manager of Product Development, managing various areas such as airframe and structures, avionics, and power management systems, and Systems Engineering Manager, with responsibilities including air vehicle systems engineering. Prior to Insitu Inc, Wood worked at Boeing in multiple capacities, including Systems Engineering Manager for the KC-46 program, where strategic planning and research funding management were key focuses. Wood also has experience as a Cyclocross Director for the Washington State Bicycle Association and has contributed to workplace giving campaigns with the United Way of King County. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Systems Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from The University of New Mexico.
