Catherine McCann

Catherine McCann is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in support work and music education. Currently serving as a Team Leader and Support Worker at Inspire since August 2016, Catherine assists in the daily operations of a Day Service for adults with intellectual disabilities, focusing on person-centred support plans and risk assessments to enhance independence. Previous roles include music teaching at Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and NewcastleCCE, where Catherine facilitated weekly lessons, and instructing button accordion at Ring of Gullion Comhaltas across various age groups. Additional experience includes working as a Care Assistant at Glencarron Nursing Home, providing essential personal and emotional support to residents with dementia and intellectual disabilities. Catherine holds a Master of Science in Applied Psychology Mental Health & Psychological Therapies from Ulster University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Queen's University Belfast.
