Siby Alappatt

Siby Alappatt is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering management. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Instacart since January 2022, Siby leads the engineering team responsible for various platforms including commerce and application services. Siby has held multiple senior director positions at Instacart, overseeing key initiatives such as the Instacart Whitelabel Platform and Instacart Connect Platform. Prior to Instacart, Siby worked at IBM for nearly a decade in various roles including Executive Director of Engineering for IBM Sterling Order Management, managing over 200 engineers, and Program Director for Watson CXA. Additional experience includes roles at Unica Corporation, Visual IQ, Inc., Sun Microsystems, and NJIT, complemented by a Master's degree in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University.
