Research Engineer in Deep Reinforcement Learning at InstaDeep

Valentin Macé has a diverse work experience in the field of research engineering and data science. Starting in 2018, they worked as a Data Scientist NLP at Laboratoire d'Informatique et Systèmes (LIS) where they focused on classifying relationships in text using a hybrid deep learning model. This work resulted in a publication and they also provided a detailed report on their work. In 2019, they joined Qwant as a Research Engineer in Natural Language Processing. During their time there, they conducted research on neural machine translation and implemented state-of-the-art techniques in this field. Valentin'swork led to a publication and they trained numerous deep learning models using TensorFlow in an NVIDIA DGX environment. In 2020, Valentin joined InstaDeep Ltd as a Research Engineer in Deep Reinforcement Learning.

Valentin Macé pursued their education between 2013 and 2019. Valentin first attended KEDGE Business School from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Finance. During their time at KEDGE, they also had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program at the University of Deusto in 2014-2015.

In 2015-2016, Valentin embarked on another exchange program, this time at Concordia University, where they studied Finance. Following this, they joined Polytech Marseille in 2016 and completed their studies in 2019, earning a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Computer Science.
