Daniel Bassett

Daniel Bassett is a Chief Data Scientist at InstatData since June 2022, bringing extensive experience in data analysis and research. Previously, Daniel served as a Senior Open Data Analyst at Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and as a Data Scientist at Taysols Pty Ltd, where presentations were delivered across various industries, including notable talks at AWS headquarters in Sydney and Melbourne. Prior roles include Data Developer at Lowe Corporation, focusing on SQL queries for complex data retrieval, and Postdoctoral Researcher at both Memorial University of Newfoundland and the University of Rhode Island, contributing to significant research projects funded by highly competitive grants. Daniel holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Neurobiology and Behavior, as well as a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science, all from The University of Auckland, and a Graduate Diploma in Programming from Eastern Institute of Technology.
